Twilight in the Forest

Twilight in the Forest, fir and oak, 10" x 27" x 8"

Twilight in the Forest  - Twilight in a forest can be a moment of great beauty that occurs right before darkness sets in. This work has two lines of text that are deliberately unrelated, but are united in the physical space and material of the sculpture.  It was an illogical and intuitive decision that lead me to invert one of the two houses, as if the law of gravity had temporarily been suspended.  These lines, juxtaposed next to the two houses and the tree trunk, are an attempt to bounce divergent ideas off of one another but unite them by material, craft and process.
